Or if you have a Problem or Need advice for a Bad Habit or anything regarding your own animal then Please send in your problem or question and I will try to give you some tip's that I know.
If I don't have an idea of how to advise you,  then I will also invite everyone to help me in getting you the answer or help with your question ! As we all have different ways and different Tip's and this is mainly because we all have differently behaving animals !!!
But if we were all the same and all animals behaved the same way ! Life would be very boring and I would not have decided on this Blog !!!

                           RAW CARROT STICK'S
THIS IS CHARLIE !!!
One of my favourite Tip's is Carrot Sticks and I find that Carrots are good for 2 reasons !!

1. They are a perfect snack/tip bit for your dog's ( Make Sure you cut the carrot into Sticks instead of Circle's as a Dog or Puppy may choke on a round piece of Carrot ) This is a healthy snack for any dog or puppy as carrot's are sweet and dog's love them !! Carrots will be a treat for your dog but will not make a dog gain weight !! So they are perfect treat for any breed that gain's weight easily like Charlie who is a Pug, but other breeds like Labradors Etc.

2. The second reason why I recommend Carrot's to my new Puppy Home's when they collect their Puglet is that Raw Carrot has a Chemical in it that actually Soothes Teething Gums !! So not only is it a healthy snack but it will help with a Teething Baby ! Which works out wonderfully as when your puppy is Chewing on a Carrot Stick is also a puppy NOT Chewing on your Shoe's / Chair's.

RAW HIDE CHEW'S :- These are another perfect Teething Tool, they are a must for all Puppy Owners and should be left in any room where your puppy will be in, as when your puppy is chewing on it's chew, your everything else will be safe !!!!

If any of you have any other Teething Tip's then Please send them in.

STOPPING A DOG CHEWING IT'S STITCHES OUT !

When or if your dog or cat gets stitches, the normal thing for them to want to do is Chew them out !!!
This is when your vet will give you the delightful flower pot that your dog or cat will be asked to wear !!! Now if you have a laid back dog or cat then they may not be bothered by the collar, and they will then allow the stitches time to work and your dog/cat will heal themselves quickly.
But if you have a NORMAL Dog/Cat then they are like Fizz !! and they will hate a massive Flower Pot attached to their head ( not that you can blame them )  I personally would not like to have a Flower Pot stuck around my neck ???   It's a bit like having an itch you can't reach, which is very annoying !!!
When Fizz had her leg removed with the Bone Cancer, the need for healing and not chewing out stitches was Critical !! Well she came home with a Flower Pot and promptly smashed it into piece's by whacking it into my leg !! She did this to the next one as well ??
So I began thinking I would have to sellotape her mouth together !!! As I was so paniced that she would open the incision I was willing to try anything.
I tried the normal things Flower Pot Collar she just either smashed them up or whacked them off. Then I tried Oil of Cloves she just licked it off ............. I was nearing hysteric's
I then had a brain wave I suddenly thought of things that taste disgusting ( I didn't think Faggots would offend Fizz as much as they do me ??? ) So the next thing that came to me was BiCarbonate of Soda ( the white powder which is used in cooking )
If in doubt taste it yourself !!!!

My daughter Emma doubted and I made her taste some on the tip of her finger !!! wish I had done it while filming !!!!

What I did next was to rub some BiCarbonate of Soda around the area NOT on the stitches themselves as it may have stung her ??? But I rubbed some around the scar and as its a powder it didn't run into the incision and it stayed on the skin like Talcolm powder on us !!

I looked her straight in the eye and removed her sellotaped Flower Pot off her head !! She looked at me and almost shrugged her shoulders and promptly turned around to lick at the stitches !!! Well Walt Disney would have been proud of her !!! She scrunched up her entire face and her whole body just shuddered , she turned away from her Minus Leg !!! Glared at me, huffed and then she lay her head down and closed her eyes and ignored me for the rest of the day !!!!! It was the funniest thing I have ever seen and it makes me smile just to think of it !!

I then put some more on the next day but to my knowledge she never even turned her head towards her leg, let alone chewed it !

If it could stop a Rottweiler ripping out stitches I think it would work on anything .......

If you have any other tips for this sort of thing then please send them in and I'll add them to the Dealing with an animal with Cancer or Medical Part and Chewing Sections on my Tips Part.
